New England Interstate Homeland Security Environmental Summit Environmental Protection Agency |
Dr. Raab facilitated this day-and-a-half summit which brought together New England’s key federal and state environmental and public health leaders. Discussions focused on regional resources, assets and protocols that would be utilized in response to a chemical agent attack. Specific topic areas included public information, emergency response, laboratory capabilities, public health, water security, waste management, decontamination and emergency management. The goal of the summit was to promote a regionalized planning approach—highlighting best practices and identifying gaps in New England’s planning efforts. |
