Tennessee Governor’s Task Force on Energy Policy
Tennessee Governor’s Office
Raab Associates designed, facilitated, and served as lead consultant for the Tennessee Governor’s Task Force on Energy Policy, an initiative conceived by Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen to develop a comprehensive state energy plan. The Task Force first turned its attention to state "lead by example" measures, policies, and programs for state buildings and fleets, and then focused on broader policies, programs and laws to bring clean energy to Tennessee’s citizens and businesses while stimulating the economy. All Task Force meetings were actually chaired by the Governor and included high level representatives from TVA, ORNL, Al Gore's Office, and others from government, industry, academia and NGOs. Raab Associates served as both facilitator and lead technical consultant to the Governor and Task Force. Dr. Raab also facilitated the Lead By Example, Residential, and Clean Energy Technology work groups. The work focused on efficient buildings, sustainable mobility, and clean energy sources.

On March 31, 2009, Governor Bredesen issued a press release and held a press conference to unveil his "Clean Energy Future Act", built on key Task Force recommendations.
