Massachusetts Electric System Modernization Plans

In 2023 Dr. Raab, with colleague Janet Gail Besser, designed and ran two workshops for Massachusetts’s three electric utilities on their draft Electric System Modernization plans outlining billions of dollars of investments to upgrade the distribution systems in the Commonwealth. The upgrades will accommodate both electrification and distributed energy resources needed to decarbonize the Commonwealth’s economy.
